With its tagline “Future is an attitude”, the all-new compact SUV is here to set the trends of the young generation lifestyle, combining a presence of confidence and elegance that not only reshapes your life but also helps you turn your journey into a statement of your personality.
Its design carries the combination of boldness as well as confidence. Whether someone is looking for a city drive or a straight, long highway, it delivers exactly what someone expects from Audi. The Q3 has quietly upgraded itself from Audi’s smallest SUV to become the brand’s premium compact model.
The 3rd-gen Audi Q3 was first unveiled on June 15th, 2025, through their media centres, and it is expected to launch in India at the start of 2026.
Performance with Precision
In terms of its performance, Audi has truly worked hard to serve its vast range of drivers. For someone more focused on city rides, the turbocharged 2.0-liter quad cylinder petrol engine produces 184 horsepower and 320 nm of torque in its standard variant, while the S variant offers 228-horsepower livelier response boost, perfect for those who want robustness in their drive.
Both engines are paired with a seven-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission that gives a well-timed gear shift when stuck in city traffic or accelerating on the never-ending expressways.
The Audi’s quattro All Wheel Drive technology provides excellent grip and smooth steering stability, making you feel comfortable on every road. It acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.14 seconds, which is quite impressive in my opinion
The Audi Q3 offers a remarkably comfortable and flexible ride with its different drive modes: Eco, Comfort, Auto, and Dynamic, giving you the privilege to save more fuel and feel a spirited ride depending on your mood.
At high speeds, the engine runs quietly, which, in my opinion, is a great feature because it’ll provide a serene and comfortable cabin experience.
While driving within the city or travelling on the outskirts, you can expect a fuel efficiency ranging from around 9.7 km/l to up to 18.6 km/l, respectively.
Additionally, the ARAI certifications state that this SUV delivers an average mileage of 14.73 km/l.
Features, Safety, and Pricing
The Audi Q3 comes with a gesture-controlled bootlid feature through which the 500-liter spacious boot can be accessed with foot motion. It comes with a 10-inch, well-lit touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 180-watt audio system that includes 10 speakers, delivering immersive audio quality and a premium user experience. The fully digital Audi Virtual cockpit displays all necessary information in sharp high definition.
Other main features include its 2-zone climate control air conditioning, panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors, and electric front seat with lumbar adjustments.
In Safety features, the Q3 has received five-star ratings from the Euro NCAP crash tests organisation. It is equipped with 6 airbags, a rearview camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system that notifies you whenever there is a loss in tire pressure. Overall, it has decent safety features if compared to other cars at a similar price tag.
Now, it brings us to an important point – the price. The Audi Q3 offers 3 different versions: the Premium, Premium Plus, and Technology, with prices ranging from about Rs. 44.99 Lakhs to Rs. 54.69 Lakhs ex-showroom. Note: Prices may vary depending on your state and city.
Conclusion
Overall, the Audi Q3, the brand’s 3rd generation compact SUV, stands out as an entry-level luxury SUV, offering premium features, high-end performance, and safety conentrated. The 1,984 cc turbocharged petrol engine and Audi’s quattro All-Wheel Drive system offer a great driving experience, making it a perfect choice for both city and highway drivers – a key factor that might appeal to the Indian consumers.
But it has to fight for its dominance, the German-engineered compact size, light steering SUV finds BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA & Volvo XC40 on its direct competition that falls under the same price bracket and offer more or less similar features.
In a nutshell, it would be great to see if the Audi Q3 consistently proves to be a top-tier contender by delivering on all fronts that make it a strong customer choice, apart from an individual’s preference.
