Stargazer (MPV): From Indonesia to India

Hyundai Smart Sense provides modern tech safety. The Stargazer MPV has prominent safety features that are of great help to the driver while on a ride. The Automatic Emergency Braking system detects probable collisions with other cars, people, and motorcyclists by applying brakes on time to prevent or mitigate an accident. The Blind spot tracking can help us keep an eye on audio-visual clues. Airbags are in multiple numbers for the safety of the driver and passengers. Ductile cruise control conserves swiftness and maintains distance from other cars, even when in heavy congested road traffic. Lane cantering helps keep the car positioned well in the centre of its lane by making solicitous and gentle steering corrections as needed. A 360-degree visibility around the vehicle helps in correctly parking and manoeuvring it at low speed very easily. 

Traffic recognition signs and alerts help in reading the roads ahead. The displayed information is a great feature. Connectivity and entertainment are well integrated. Smartphones seamlessly connect through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which gives good access to the navigation system, music, and communication apps. Large touchscreen display with Hyundai Blue Link connects. 

QI-enabled pads are consolidated in Stargazer MPV. This enables wireless charging of mobile devices and other compatible devices using electromagnetic energy transformations without the need for cables. An embedded component device is in the car version. Wi-Fi hotspots are portable, and dedicated hotspots are built in. OTA updates, HUD, and ventilated seats. 

Eliminating the traditional physical keys, the entry and push-start ignitions are keyless, allowing drivers to lock, unlock the car with just a button. 

Climate can be easily controlled and maintained by automatically adjusting the air conditioning system. The interiors are quite spacious and practical with great ergonomics. Lots of storage area and space for 6 passengers to sit. Good tray tables for second row passengers and AC vents at the rear for a breeze behind. 

Exteriors are sleek, smooth, innovative, with some cool LED in Horizontal style, which also runs in the daytime. Front and distinctive H-shaped LED taillights at the rear.

Performance with great powertrains. An engine with 1.5 litres produces around 113-115 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic IVT transmission is made available. Front-wheels with drivertrains, Length of 4,460mm, width 1,780mm, height 1,695 mm, and 2,780mm wheelbase. Displacement is 1497- 1499 CC. Fuel capacity 40 litres. 

Stargazer (MPV): Launch, Price, and Sales

Launched in the Indonesian market, Thailand, and the Philippines, it does compete with rivals like Suzuki Ertiga, Honda BR-V, Mitsubishi XPander, and Toyota Veloz. Inspired by the Hyundai Staria, with elements like full-width LED DRLs and a unique grille. With its one curve design, it will soon launch in India in July 2026. With a good price point of Rs 9.60 lakhs to Rs 17.00 Lakhs. 

It was displayed in international auto shows and will be a great entry in its segment. A premium version of the Stargazer X is also anticipated with bigger wheels and extra equipment. With premium safety features and modern technology, it shall appeal to buyers. 

With higher speed, its performance will prove to be optimum and could become a popular seller. Minor upgrades were added to reveal a teaser of the same. Rugged and modern yet contemporary, the Stargazer is much-awaited by Indians. 

Stargazers Potentials 

It would compete with popular Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion, and potentially other models like Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo. 

Hyundai’s futuristic design that blends SUV style with MPV would practically set it apart in the Indian market.

ADAS and Hyundai’s Blue Link connected car features would offer technology-advanced options. A family-centric stargazer will be a strong contender for cars in its segment. It has good clearance for its safety by NCAP for ⅘ stars at its international test centre. 

Hyundai strategizes its 3-row SUV, the Alcazar, or the new models as part of its significant investment plans for the Indian market.
