Mahindra: Born Electric
Mahindra has entered the race of electric SUVs. They have recently launched two electric cars – BE 07 and XUV e9. However, the best electric car by Mahindra is yet to come. It is the Mahindra BE 07. A vehicle with a beast look and some great features at the best price.
Built with modern features, advanced platforms, and an impressive range, it brings significant power and torque with good battery packs (59KWH and 79 kWh).
Experts in the automobile industry have praised BE6 for having an awesome design, sportier feel, making it a stronger option for style and performance in the eSuV segment. Whereas XEV 9e is a good choice for those who like the SUV-coupe and appreciate a refined drive experience. XUV400 EV is a more affordable and popular option in the market, offering good value.

Mahindra BE 07: Looks Do Matter!
The first look of this premium SUV was revealed on Independence Day 2022. It looked like an absolute beast. The car comes in 3 different colours – White, Red, and Black. It has an edgy and futuristic design. The car is expected to have a higher height and have better ground clearance. Upgraded, newer Alloy wheels give it a sleeker look, and not to mention the curves like a Cybertruck.
Performance comes with power!
The car will have two battery options – 60kW and 80kW. It can support fast charging up to 175kW, which can charge the super SUV from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes. It will also provide a range of about 500km. It will offer two variants, EC and EL. EC could be the base variant, and EL may be the top. The expected range of the EC variant is 350 km. The EL variant’s range is about 650 km. With these performances, the vehicle’s speed can go up to 100 kmph in under 6 seconds.
Its dimensions include Length – 4565 mm , Width – 1900 mm, Height – 1660 mm and Wheelbase – 2775 mm.
The car will offer premium SUV features. A panoramic sunroof, an ADAS suite, a premium interior, and an autonomous driving feature. It may even be good for off-roading and a premium interior. The technical specifications of this car have not been revealed yet. However, it is expected to have a 360-degree camera, voice control, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, etc. A triple screen with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display with AI and RAM up to 16 GB.
Safety comes first!
The car has yet to get a rating from any NCAP. However, it could get a good safety rating as Mahindra holds a good reputation for providing safety in its cars. And it may also get a 5-star rating by Global NCAP. Adaptive cruise control, multiple airbags, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera could be provided for its safety.
Pricing and Competitors
The starting price of this car could be 25 lakh rupees and may rise to 30 lakh rupees. For its 2 variants. The car will face the competition from the Tata Harrier EV, MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra XUV e9. These are the cars of the same segment and price. But the features this electric SUV has make it very tough for other SUVs to compete with it.
