Top 10 Upcoming Electric Cars in India 2025

The market for electric cars has seen rapid growth in recent years. Many big-name companies are launching the electric variant for their famous and established cars. It has already left a mark on the global market. In India, people are slowly switching to electric cars. Let’s look at some of the upcoming electric cars launching in India 

Tata Harrier EV 

Tata Harrier EV 

Tata is renowned for its exceptional build quality and off-roading capabilities. It will be a 5-seater mid-size electric SUV. It gets a dual-motor All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) setup. It will contain the power of 235 bhp. The battery capacity is 70 kWh. The range may go up to 600 km. It offers 5 variants, and the price goes around 22 lakh. 

Kia Carens Clavis EV 

It is going to be Kia’s first-ever affordable electric car in India. With this one, Kia is targeting a much larger audience this time. Kia’s cars are known for their safety; this time, they could have 2 ADAS. The exterior may not have any change, but the interior may have a different look. It is expected to arrive this month, and it will enter the market with a 22 – 26 lakh range. 

MG Cyberster 

MG Cyberster 

With the power of 503 bhp and the battery capacity of 77 kWh, this cyberster is likely to be the most affordable two-door sports car in the country, also it could be offered with a battery rental scheme. The range will be 443 Km. The estimated price is said to be 80 lakh. In January, this model was first shown at an expo event.

Mahindra BE 07

With the expected launch on Independence Day, the technical specifications of Mahindra BE 07 have not been disclosed yet, but the rumoured battery capacity will be 60-80 kWh and will support 175 kW charging. It could offer two variants – EC and EL. Expected to get a panoramic sunroof. Prices are expected to range between 25 – 30 Lakh.

BMW iX 

BMW iX 2025 is expected to launch in mid-August. It will arrive in the market as a competitor of other Mercedes and Porsche cars. However, it will not have a sunroof.  

Audi Q6 e-tron

The rumoured price of it is 1cr. It was expected to be launched by March, but was later delayed to 15th August this year. Three broad variants were introduced globally: Q6 e-tron Performance, Q6 e-tron Quattro, and SQ6 e-tron. It uses a 94 kWh battery pack for all its variants, with a fast charging capacity of 270 kW DC. The claimed driving range was said in between 598 km to 641 km. 

VinFast VF7 

VinFast VF7 

The VinFast VF 7 will arrive as a direct competitor of the upcoming cars by Kia and Hyundai in India. It will cover a range of 450 Km. A single 75.3 kWh battery pack is provided with power of 201 bhp. The estimated price of this car is said to be 48 Lakh, and its expected launch date is 18th August 2025 

MG M9 

MG M9 

MG M9 is a premium electric MPV. And provides the 3-row seating configuration. With the approximate price of 65 Lakh, it offers a claimed range of 432 km with a rumoured 85 kWh battery. MH showcased M9 at the Auto Expo this year. The car will enter the market with an approximate amount of more than 65 lakh and is expected to launch in the last week of July. 

Maruti e-Vitara

It was first shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, confirming Maruti’s entrance into the electric market. Range is said to be 490 km for this one with multiple(two) battery packs- 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The estimated launch is in the second week of September, and the price may go more than 20 lakh.  

Volvo EX30 

Expected to launch by the end of 2025, it is a compact, fully electric SUV. It offers a range of 476 km with several options, including single motor and dual motor configurations with various battery sizes. The rumoured price of this car is said to be between 45 – 50 lakh. A battery of 66 kWh with the claimed range of more than 450 km.
