A 1983-born Nepali boy, Nirmal Purja, is a former soldier from the British Army of Gurkhas. In his first-ever winter ascent, he climbed K2 with his team of Nepalese Mountaineers in the year 2021. A Myagdi boy comes from a simple family, and he is one of the youngest children. He was the first to be selected as an elite for a special boat service of the Royal Navy.
He became an avid mountaineer in 2012 after he summited the highest peak the vivacious Mount Everest. He shattered the records by his most famous achievement of climbing all 14 peaks (8,000 meters) in just a time frame of six months and six days. He was also the first person to climb Everest from Lhotse and Makalu within 48 hours. He has written a book titled Beyond Possible and his documentary 14 peaks: Nothing is Impossible is featured on Netflix. He is also a brand ambassador for Bremont and Osprey.With his Inspirational talks he has inspired many young climbers.
