Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica: Race DNA Meets Everyday Rideability
At EICMA 2025, Aprilia introduced the RS 457 GP Replica, which is not simply a facelift but a revival of the brand’s racing past. Along with the mechanical components, the RS 457 GP Replica kept the same layout as the regular RS 457, but now it has unique racing features that make it visually different.
With the RS-GP MotoGP design, the bike looks like a perfect combination of matte and glossy. The red and silver warmings together with the sponsor logos make it a real factory-race. In this special edition, a pillion seat cowl and a bidirectional quickshifter, which were features you could only get as an option on the standard RS 457, are now included as standard.
To complement the intense character of the RS 457 GP Replica, Aprilia has also fitted it with high-performance front brake pads, thus ensuring the brake system to be more powerful and more modulated under very dynamic riding. A place like the track where you take your RS 457 GP for a spin is where you would see that this upgrade is really worth it, and this is exactly where it belongs.
Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica: Engine and Hardware Details
The GP Replica is powered by the iconic 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which is capable of producing 46.9bhp and 43Nm of torque. The powertrain is mated with a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. At the front, there is a 41mm USD fork with 120mm travel and at the rear, a preload-adjustable monoshock with 130mm travel is installed. The suspension of the vehicle offers a good combination of comfort and accuracy.
The bike is equipped with a 320mm front disc along with a Bybre four-piston radial caliper and a 220mm rear disc for braking. The 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tires (110mm front, 150mm rear), are the perfect tool for a secure hold on both road and track.
Features and Technology
When it comes to technology, the RS 457 GP Replica is still an amazing performer. Riders can use three different riding modes, three traction control levels, and a ride-by-wire throttle system for exact reaction. The 5-inch TFT display is a cool addition with its clear readings and a classy interface.
Will It Come to India?
Though Aprilia did not officially announce the RS 457 GP Replica launch in the Indian market, rumours say that it might go the same way as the SR-GP Replica 175, which was launched earlier this year at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom). It will probably be a limited-edition release if introduced, thus allowing Indian fans to experience MotoGP-inspired performance at a level that is fairly affordable.
The RS 457 GP Replica is a perfect example of how Aprilia is willing to take its racing heritage to the next level for the youth around the globe. And if it comes to India, it could very well be the most talked-about sportbike of its class.
