A duster too by Renault! It’s coming soon this coming year in 2026. January marks the return of this compact SUV to the Indian market.

It’s completely revamped and redesigned with high-tech advanced technology. With the great new engine system, it’s more powerful. Renault Duster is built on the CMF-B platform.

The Renault-Nissan Automotive India plant in Oragadam, Chennai, manufactures the next-generation Renault. Its production is expected to begin in September 2025 for the launch in 2026.

Renault Nissan aims to reanimate its brand presence. It aims to create a stir and competition in the Indian SUV market. Its vision is to capitalise on and relaunch the car’s nostalgic appeal and toughness. It’s built with a high degree of quality materials and local manufacturing.

It wants to give a competitive price point so that there will be good after-sales service. The revival model is positioned strategically to strengthen and popularise its affordability. It promises better performance and efficiency.

With a new, revamped design, it maintains its legendary presence. It shall compete with Midsize SUVs. It depicts its continuous success. The original name Duster portrayed strength and ruggedness. It also has a new variant 7-seater named Boreal.

Well, Duster is not just a car but an SUV trend, and this continues to be used by the new generation. The comfortable size attracts customers for long-distance travel and adventure trips. Well, the Next Gen Duster is different and completely separate from the Boreal, so let’s not get confused with it. 

Renault Duster ( Next Gen) Upgrades

Refurbished design 

New rectangular grille with LED headlights. It has Y-shaped DRLs and has wheels that are square. It has arches at the wheel, too. Its body is thick with claddings, and the roof rails have a rugged look. The interiors are still on the practical side with cleaner blueprints.

It has a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a hybrid engine with a 1.2-litre. The hybrid version offers high fuel efficiency. Another 1.3 kL turbo petrol engine with its focal point on its fuel efficiency is also expected in India. It won’t have its diesel option. It has a redesigned flat-bottom steering wheel.

It has a good ground clearance of 205 mm and a boot space of 475 litres. It has a fuel tank with 50 litres. It has a 6-speed manual, and CVT automatic options are expected. 

High Technology and Safety 

It has a three-screen setup with advanced tech features. It has an ADAS in some variants. It has 6 airbags and has good control due to its stability. 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has a 7-inch digital driver’s display with automatic climate control. A 360-degree camera for assistance. 6 airbags for improved body structure for crash and electronic stability control.

Wireless and seamless phone charging. It has keyless entry and push-button start. It also has a large boot space. It has a 6-speaker Arkamys 3D system.  For driving aids, it has ESC, ABS with EBD. It’s available in top-end models. It includes blind spot detection and lane departure warning. It has improved safety as per global standards. 

Renault Duster (Next Gen)-Price, Sales Launch 

It costs around Rs 9.50 lakhs to Rs 14.50 lakhs. It will have a seating arrangement for 5 occupants. Expected to be launched in 2026. It shall definitely have strong sales even though there is competition.
