Mahindra is set to facelift one of its best-selling vehicles: the XUV 700, which is expected to arrive by the end of 2025. It will have a bunch of new features, and a new type of interior is also expected.
The Mahindra XUV 700 facelift, also known as the XUV7XO, is set to arrive in the Indian market. Launch is expected by the last quarter of 2025 or by the first half of 2026.
After Tata, Mahindra cars also have a great reputation in terms of providing a great body. Also, both get a respected Global NCAP rating. The Mahindra XUV 700 got a 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection. Whereas, the facelift may get the same or even a 5-star rating for both occupant protection.
Mahindra XUV 700 Facelift Features
The LED projector headlamp will be sleeker and will come with new DRL signatures. Its interior will feature –
- a triple-screen dashboard, comprising a 10.25-inch class instrument cluster, a central screen, and a co-driver display.
- Some more interior upgrades are ventilated seats
- A panoramic sunroof.
- It will offer level 2 ADAS.
- A 360-degree camera system
- Auto-park assist, high beam assist, and adaptive cruise control are included.
Performance
It will have both fuel models – Diesel and Petrol. Will have a 2.0 L turbo‑petrol (≈200 PS, 380 Nm) and 2.2 L turbo‑diesel (155–185 PS, up to 420–450 Nm) engine.
Infotainment
The infotainment system of previous cars by Mahindra was criticized for its software, and to address the criticism, the infotainment system is getting a UI refresh. It is also aiming to have an improved NVH control for a quieter cabin and a smoother ride.
There is a possibility that it could have a petrol-electric hybrid option. And it would be the first Mahindra car to have this option. However, it is just a speculation.
Mahindra XUV 700 Facelift Pricing
The price of this car may go from 50,000 rupees to 100,000 rupees over than the current prices. Which ranges around 15-25 lakh.
Competition
It will have direct competition from the Tata Safari Facelift (priced between ₹16.2 – ₹27.3 lakh), Hyundai Alcazar (prices between ₹16.8 – ₹21.3 lakh), MG Hector Plus (prices between ₹17.0 – ₹22.5 lakh), Toyota Innova Hycross ( prices between ₹19.7 – ₹30.3 lakh), and Kia Carens ( prices between ₹12.5 – ₹18.9 lakh).
They are the three-row cars that will directly compete with them. However, some two-row (5-seater) cars are also available, which will have the same prices as the Hyundai Creta (2024 facelift), ranging from ₹11 to ₹20.2 lakh, and the Kia Seltos (2023 facelift), priced between ₹10.9 and ₹20 lakh.
