Mahindra has recently launched its two newest electric cars. They are Mahindra BE 07 and Mahindra XEV 9e. The car comes with a powerful look, a spacious interior, and the latest features. Let’s have a look at the features of the car:
It is a powerful electric SUV, launched by Mahindra in November 2024. It offers various features, an eye-catching exterior, and great safety ratings.
The car became a major success from the very beginning. It dispatched around 19,000 units in the first six months of launch, along with its sibling, Mahindra BE 07. For several months in 2025, the car has sold more than 2500 units.
Appearance and Style

It is available in 7 monotone colours. The car has a sporty and dominating exterior. From the front, it has an Edge-to-edge inverted L-shaped DRL bar, a body-coloured grille panel, a front featuring a closed-off, Muscular bonnet, and a strong shoulder line.
Full-Width LED Light Bar, Gloss-Black Bumper & Chrome Accents, Spoiler & Shark-Fin Antenna are there in the rear design. And the side design comes with a Sleek, Coupe-Like Silhouette, Gloss-Black Cladding & Bold Shoulders, Flush & Hidden Door Handles, dual-tone aerodynamic alloy wheels.
It has a spacious interior and comes with a colour combination of light ivory-white soft‑touch padded surfaces.
Performance
It has a dual battery setup: 59kWh and 79kWh. The 59kWh battery has a power of 231PS and generates a torque of 380nm. It can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.7 seconds. With this battery, a range of 542km is provided.
The 79kWh battery has a power of 282PS, and generates a torque of 380nm. It can cover a speed of up to 100km/h in around 6.8 seconds. The battery gives a great range of 656km.
It comes with an AC charger of 7.2kW and 11.2kW, which can fully charge it in 8 to 11 hours. And another DC charger of 140-175kW, it can go from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Dimensions
It has a length, a width, and a height of 4789mm, 1907mm, and 1694mm. A wheelbase of 2775mm. It has a ground clearance of 207mm. A tyre size of 245/55 R19. And a boot space of 663 litres, and the front trunk (frunk) of 150 litres.
Features

A triple digital screen setup of 12.3 inches for driver, infotainment, and passenger. One of the rare Mahindra cars to have a panoramic sunroof. Comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless charging, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
With a seating capacity of 5 passengers, it offers multiple drive modes: Race, Everyday, and Range.
Ventilated front seats, air purifier, voice commands, ambient lighting, buttons for audio/music & phone(call/end), two front & two rear cup holders, and cruise control are the other features.
Safety
The car scored 32/32 for the adult and 45/49 for the child in the crash tests. It got a 5-star rating by Bharat NCAP. Making it one of the safest electric cars in the country.
Level‑2 ADAS,7 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX, 360-degree camera, front and rear sensors, and disc front and rear brakes are there for the safety features.
Price and Competition
Starts with the price of 21.90 lakh rupees, which extends to 32.98 lakh rupees for the top and better models.
Hyundai Creta EV and the Tata Harrier EV are considered the top rivals of the car. The reviews of the buyers are mainly positive, praising the body, looks, safety, and range. And it is looking to compete in the market for the long run.
