Recently, in July 2025, Kia came up with their latest launch in India. It was the electric variant of the Kia Carens Clavis. The car offers a great range, features, and performance.
After Seltos and Sonet, Caren Clavis is the best-selling car from Kia in India. Even in June 2025, Kia Caren came out as the best-selling Kia car in India, selling around 8000 units in that month. And to continue and enjoy the success of the car, the brand has decided to launch the electric variant of it.
It is Kia’s first locally produced EV in India. And the car is looking to follow the same path as the fuel variant of Caren Clavis.
Kia Carens Clavis Appearance and Style

The car is available in 6 monotone colours. It has a 7-seater spacious interior. The front design features a body-colored front bumper, Ice Cube LED MFR Headlamps, a front charging port with illumination, and Star Map LED-connected DRLs with Integrated Turn Signals.
On the rear, it features a body-colored rear bumper, an integrated rear spoiler with a Hi-Gloss Black Side Cover, a Star Map LED Connected Taillamp, and a Shark Fin-type antenna. And the side design consists of Colored Outside Door Handles, dual-tone aero Alloy Wheels, and Integrated Roof Rails.
The interior colour combination offers a dual-tone theme: Black & Beige, and Premium Fabric with Semi-leatherette Combi seats (Black)
Kia Carens Clavis Electric Performance
It offers dual battery packs. A battery of 51.4kWh, that has a power of 169PS at 255nm torque. It can go from 0 to 100km/h in around 8.4 seconds. With this battery, a range of 490km can be provided.
Another battery of 42kWh, which has a power of 133PS at 255nm torque. It is also capable of reaching the speed of 100km/h in 8.4 seconds. And it provides a range of 404km.
With the AC charger of 11kW, 10-80% charging can be done in around 4 hours, whereas the other DC fast charging option has a charger of 100kW, which can charge it from 10-80% in just 39 minutes.
Dimensions
It has a length, width, and height of 4550mm, 1800mm, and 1730mm. A wheelbase of 2780mm. Provides a ground clearance of 200mm. A tyre size of 215/55 R17. And a boot space of 216 litres and 25 litres frunk (front trunk). And along with that, it possesses a kerb weight of 1907kg.
Features
The car has a dual 12.3-inch panoramic display for infotainment and a digital driver cluster. Infotainment comes with a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It offers a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. Two cup holders and two USB-C ports are given in front, rear, and even in the third row.
Other features are wireless charging, 8‑speaker BOSE, ventilated front seats with electric adjustment, air purifier, 64 colour ambient lighting, Second row seat one-touch electric tumble, and 4-way power driver seat.
For steering controls, buttons for audio/music & phone(call/end) and cruise control are also given.
With a seating capacity of 7 passengers, it offers multiple drive modes: Eco, City, and Sport.
Safety
The car has yet to have a safety rating from any NCAP; however, it is speculated that it may get a good safety rating. It offers a bunch of safety features: Level‑2 ADAS, 6 airbags, Smart cruise control(SCC) with stop and go, Lane keep assist(LKS), Rear cross traffic collision warning & avoidance assist(RCTA), High beam assist(HBA), ABS with EBD,hill‑hold, ISOFIX, 360 degree camera, rear sensors, disc front and rear brakes.
Price
It starts with a price of 17.99 lakh rupees, which extends to 25.72 lakh rupees for the top models. According to the price range, the car faces tough competition from the Mahindra BE6, Tata Harrier EV, and BYD eMAX 7.
The car offers very premium features, looks, design, and a spacious interior for a 7-seater. However, some of the competitors provide a better range per charge which could raise a concern.
