The Hyundai Verna comes with several features, provides powerful performance, and has a seating capacity of 5 passengers. The car offers great safety ratings and features. 

Hyundai is an established brand that sells a good number of cars every month. Creta, Venue, and Aura are some of its best-selling cars in the Indian market. The Hyundai Verna also used to be in the elite list. However, the car saw a major decline in sales in 2025, compared to its previous years. 

For some previous months, the car has struggled to have a thousand sales.

The Hyundai Verna is available in 7 monotone and 2 dual-tone colours. The front design features a Horizon DRL strip across the bonnet, a Tri‑section DRL, slim LED headlamps, and the Hyundai logo centered on the bonnet. 

Chrome-finished door handles, body colour ORVM with LED turn indicators, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and Sharp Z-shaped creases are there on the side design. 

The rear design consists of a connected, full-width LED tail‑lamp bar, deck‑lid spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and body colour bumper. 

For interior colour combination, Premium Dual‑Tone Beige & Black, Sporty Black with Red Accents is used (for selected models). 

Hyundai Verna Performance 

Available in a petrol variant, it comes with a 1.5-litre MPI NA engine that produces a capacity of 1482cc, with a power of 115bhp at 144nm torque. 

Another engine of 1.5-litre turbo GDI, producing 1482cc with a power of 160bhp at 253nm torque. It can go from 0 to 100km/h in around 8.49 seconds. 

Provides a fuel efficiency of 20km/l in manual and 20.6km/l in automatic. The total fuel capacity of the car is 45 litres. 

Dimensions 

It has a length, width, and height of 4535mm, 1765mm, and 1475mm. A wheelbase of 2670mm. The kerb weight of the car is 1225kg. The ground clearance provided is 165mm. It offers a large boot space of 528 litres. And it has a tyre size of 205/55 R16. 

Hyundai Verna Features 

The car comes with a 10.25-inch digital display and the same size infotainment touchscreen display. Consists of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The wireless charging feature is also there. 

The car also comes with ventilated and heated front seats and offers an electric sunroof. Two front and two rear cup holders are also there. 

It has a leather-wrapped premium steering which has buttons for audio/music & phone(call/end) and cruise control. 

And offers an Eco, Normal, and Sport drive mode. 

Safety 

The car got a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. Making it one of the safest sedans. 

6 Airbags, ADAS level 2, ABS with EBD, ESC, Lane Keep Assist(LKA), Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Reverse camera with sensor and guidelines, All disc brakes, and ISOFIX are there for its safety features. 

Price and Rivals

It starts with a price of 11.07 lakh rupees. Which extends to 20.29 lakh rupees for the top model. 

Verna faces competition from Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia in the market. 

In some previous years, the majority of buyers have shifted to SUVs. And tough competition from the rivals is also said to be a reason for the decline of car sales.
