Tata is coming with a large, powerful, and compact SUV, that has named Avinya. Tata has decided to follow the path of Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki, launching a new car in a single electric variant. The car will have a futuristic look and will have a great range.
Avinya EV was slated to launch in 2025; however, it has been postponed to late 2026, or the launch may even extend to early 2027. It will be a large 5-seater SUV. The concept of the car was launched early this year by Tata, which looked futuristic and powerful. And the interior of the car is also very spacious.
Appearance and Style
Avinya EV will be a big, compact SUV. A futuristic design on the exterior. The front looks has a Tata T, which is given for the lights. Headlamp and ADAS level 2 are also there.
The side design comes with a sloping roof line, 20-21-inch alloy wheels, tyres, and flush door handles.
A sporty, sloping sort of look is there from the rear design. It will have a shark fin antenna, come along with two cameras. Connected tail lamps and the AVINYA logo are also there in the middle.
The colours of the car are not revealed yet; however, it could have more than 5 monotone and 2 dual-tone colours.
Performance
The performance of the car is not revealed yet. But since Tata is coming with a single electric variant of the car, it may offer a real-life range of 550-650km per charge. Or even more extended to around 700km.
The batteries and motor of the car are also not known. In terms of charging, it will support AC and DC fast charging. With the DC fast charging, the car can charge from 10-80% in just 30 minutes, which may provide a range of 500km. And will also have an Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT)
Avinya EV Dimensions
The width and the height of the car are not revealed yet. Length could be around 4300mm. The boot space will be larger. And the ground clearance provided is around 200mm.
Avinya EV Features
The car is expected to have more voice-controlled features, rather than touch-controlled. It will offer a large panoramic sunroof. A big infotainment screen, with a digital driver cluster, will be there with voice-controlled features. Other features like wireless charging, a tyre monitoring system, automatic climate control, keyless entry, and ventilated seats could be there.
Safety
The safety features of the car include multiple airbags (up to 6), Level 2 ADAS, blind spot monitoring, EBS, EBD, and ABS are also there.
Price and Competition
The price of the Avinya EV is not finalised yet. However, it is speculated that the price may start from 30 lakh rupees, which could extend to around 50 lakh rupees.
Avinya EV is the most-awaited electric car from Tata. Slated to launch by 2026-2027.
