Bajaj Auto, a household name in India that requires no introduction, yet deserves to be known for its legacy and trust. In 1945, Bajaj Auto was founded and became one of India’s oldest two and three-wheeler manufacturers.
It is also India’s largest exporter of motorcycles to other countries. It has produced some iconic bikes like Pulsar, Platina, and Avenger. And now, Bajaj Auto makes another bold move in the two-wheeler market by launching Freedom 125. Freedom 125 was launched on July 5, 2024, and became the world’s first CNG motorcycle.
Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Mileage and Engine
The Bajaj Freedom 125 has a single-cylinder 124.58 cc engine. It produces around 9.5PS of power and 9.7 Nm of torque. Unlike most bikes which have only 4 gearbox, this has 5-speed gearbox. The engine and power are decent which could be enough for daily use.
Now comes the major highlight of the Bajaj Freedom 125, that is its dual-fuel system. It offers both CNG and petrol mode.
CNG Mode
It features a 2 kg CNG tank and delivers a mileage of around 94-126 km/kg. If the tank is full, it can go nearly 200km. The biggest strength of this bike lies in the excellent Mileage that it gives in CNG mode.
Petrol ModeI
It also provides a backup 2-litre petrol tank so that you don’t have to stop midway when CNG is not available. This gives a mileage of around 53-65 km/l. Its top speed can go up to ~90km/h, which is good enough for it to be a perfect bike for daily commutes.
Dimensions
Due to its weight, which is around 148-149 kg, it turns out to be slightly heavier than other commuter bikes, but that does not affect much while riding.
The seat is long and flat, which makes longer rides comfortable. It uses a strong frame that gives stability to the bike. 17-inch alloy front wheel and 16-inch alloy Rear wheel are present. Tubeless tyres are used, which makes it safer and more convenient in case of a puncture.
Features: Modern and Tech-loaded Bike

Baja Freedom 125 does not have old-school needles or dials. It has a fully digital LCD display where you’re connected to your notifications, like for incoming calls and missed calls, via Bluetooth.
LED headlight as well as tail light, which gives a more futuristic look.
USB charging port – If you’re in a rush, you don’t need to worry about your phone charging, because the USB port charges your phone at the same time.
