Kia Seltos has been one of the best-selling cars throughout the years. It holds a great reputation worldwide. In India, too, it has been one of the most successful cars throughout the years. Let’s look at the features, performance, price, and everything related to it. 

It was August 2019 when the first car of Kia car launched in India. Later, it turned out to be a major success. The car has sold more than 5 lakh units since its launch. The car is also considered the best by Kia. It has its dominance worldwide, which makes it one of the most-selling cars globally. 

It offers petrol and diesel variants. The car is yet to launch its electric variant. 

Looks and Design 

The car offers 8 monotone and one dual-tone colors. Comes with a premium look from the outside. It has a glossy black front, Crown Jewel LED headlamps, skid plates, and body color front & bumper inserts. A shark fin antenna, glossy black rear design, along with rear skid plates, body color, and rear bumper inserts. From the side, it consists of roof rails and chrome outside door handles. 

Performance 

It offers 2 engines in all its models. One is petrol and another is diesel. A petrol engine is 1.5 litres, generating 114 bhp at 144 nm torque, and is 1497cc. A diesel engine is 1.5 litres, generating 157 bhp at 250 nm torque. It is 1482 cc. In terms of mileage, it has a 20.7km/l in diesel and 17km/l in petrol. The fuel capacity of the Kia Seltos is 50 litres. 

Dimensions 

It has a 4365mm length, 1800mm width, and 1645mm height. Along with a 2610mm wheel base. And a tyre size of 215/55 R18. And a boot space of 433L. Ground clearance of 190mm.

It is the segment where Kia has to work. In terms of rating, it got a 3-star rating for adult occupants and a 2-star rating for child occupants. It can also be said as a mediocre rating

Safety features of this car include ADAS, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold, tyre-pressure monitoring, rear camera & sensors, and disc brakes. 

Pricing and Competitors 

The starting price of this car is 11.19 lakh rupees. And model-wise, the price rises to 20.56 lakh rupees for the top model. 

The car faces tough competition from the Hyundai Creta, Tata Nexon, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Grand Vitara. The vehicles are from the same price and segment.

Overall, it is a fun-to-drive car with a large number of features. The response from its buyers is also positive. But it has to improve its safety rating.
