Mahindra XUV 3XO Review: Bigger, Safer, and Packed With Features

The Mahindra XUV 300 was a great success in its initial time. The car is a very famous mid-size SUV. In 2024, the car went for a facelift, and when the facelift version was launched, it was renamed a Mahindra XUV 3XO. Offers powerful features and performance at a great price range. Let’s look at the specifications of the car.

The car entered the market as a refreshed version of the Mahindra XUV 300. Now, it comes with upgraded features, more bigger and powerful body, and a spacious interior. 

It continued its success and sold more than a lakh units since its launch in India. Making one of the best-selling cars of Mahindra in FY 2024-25. 

It was launched in April 2024. The first version of the Mahindra XUV 300 was launched in 2019. 

Appearance and Style

Mahindra XUV 3XO is available in 4 monotone and 5 dual-tone colours. It has a bigger and dominating exterior. From the front design, it has C-shaped LED DRLs, Gloss black finish with a chrome insert, LED Projector Headlamps in piano black housing & round below Fog Lamps, body colour bumper with black features, a pronounced air dam with angular cuts. 

Connected LED Light Bar with C‑shaped LED taillight, integrated rear spoiler with a centre high-mounted stop lamp, body colour bumper with skid plate in matte silver,micropole antenna is there on the rear design. 

And the side design consists of Body-coloured, electrically adjustable ORVMs, diamond-cut alloy wheels, body colour door handles, and black lower body cladding. 

For interior colour combinations, it has a Soft Touch Leatherette on Dashboard & Door Trims, Light Beige & Black Dual Tone. All black is also there for some variants. 

Performance 

Mahindra XUV 3XO

Available in Petrol and Diesel variants. It has a petrol engine of 1.2 litres turbo, producing a capacity of 1197cc, with a power of 129bhp at 230nm torque. Supplies a fuel efficiency of 18.6km/l. 

Another diesel engine is a 1.5-litre turbo producing a capacity of 1498cc, with a power of 113bhp at 300nm torque. Provides a mileage of 20.6 km/l. It has a fuel capacity of 42 litres.

Dimensions 

Mahindra XUV 3XO has a length, width, and height of 3990mm, 1821mm, and 1647mm. The wheelbase of 2600mm. Provides a ground clearance of 201mm. A boot space of 364 litres is there. A kerb weight of 1362kg. And the tyre size of the car is 215/55 R17. 

Features

A 10.25-inch infotainment screen is there with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The same size of 10.25-inch digital driver display is there. 

Also, it has wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, 65W USB-C fast charging, rain-sensing wipers, 4 Harman Kardon speaker audio, and electrically adjustable ORVMs

A panoramic sunroof is also there. Along with two front and two rear cup holders. For steering controls, it has buttons for audio/music and cruise control. 

And offers Eco, Sport, and Normal drive modes. With a seating capacity of 5 passengers. 

Safety 

The car scored a great score in the crash tests. It got a 5-star rating from both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP. Which makes it one of the safest mid-size SUVs in the country. 

Mahindra XUV 3XO safety features include 6 Airbags, ADAS level 2, Lane keep assist, Blind spot monitor, Forward collision warning, ABS with EBD, TPMS, ESC, Hill hold Assist, Reverse camera with parking sensor and guidelines, all disc brakes, and ISOFIX. 

Price and Rivals 

The price for the base variant starts from 7.99 lakh rupees, which extends to 18.13 lakh rupees for the top variant. 

The rivals of the Mahindra XUV 3XO in the market are Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet. 

The car can be said as a perfect choice for those who are looking for a 5-seater SUV with a powerful performance, enhanced safety, and at a great price range.
