The Icon Returns: All-New Tata Sierra 2025 Launch Date, Price, and Features Revealed

Tata‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Motors is reviving one of its legendary the all-new Tata Sierra and the automotive industry is totally hyped with it. The return of the Tata Sierra after several years is going to be a grand event making its debut on November 25th, ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌2025. This time it comes with a new set of design, modern styling, advanced features, and multiple powertrain options.

In this blog, we will inform you everything you need to know about the upcoming Tata Sierra including its pricing structure, available colours, launch timeline, and how it stack up against competitors like Hyundai, Mahindra, Scorpio, etc. in the Indian market.

The All-New Tata Sierra Expected Powertrain

Petrol and diesel engines will be offered in Sierra, with the 1.5L turbo-petrol offering 168bhp and 280Nm torque, while the 2.0 diesel engine will deliver 350Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic.

Initially, Tata’s focus will be on two-wheel-drive variants, though there are hints that an all-wheel-drive might come later.

Tata Sierra’s Colour options Available & Features list

Tata‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Sierra is going to be available in three different colours – White, Red, and Black. Any one of the colours would give the SUV a different kind of character and from the teasers it seems like the white colour is the one that is really showing off the muscular line and the clean SUV profile.

It is quite possible that Tata will bring in dual-tone variants after that point, based on the level of customer engagement. The colours may only be available in a limited number of options at the moment but Tata Motors generally adds the shades after the launch, so there could be more options ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌later.

Features and Technology

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ new Sierra keeps the visual cues of its iconic ancestor, but changes them to a modern five-door SUV design. A triple-screen dashboard arrangement consisting a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment system, and even a co-passenger display was the way the company outfitted it.

Feature such as panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, JBL audio system, Level-2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera are some of the highlights of this feature-rich ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌offering.

Is there a CNG Variant of Tata Sierra?

Tata has not announced any CNG variant of the Sierra. The company is focused on petrol, diesel, and an electric (EV) model that may arrive later in 2026. Since no official information is available on the CNG version. If someone is waiting, he might have to wait longer. The reason to skip the CNG launch seems as Tata is aiming at performance and technology rather than fuel economy in this model.

Price and Competitors of Tata Sierra

Tata‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Motors is yet to disclose the complete list of prices officially. However, the estimated price of Tata Sierra in India would be around Rs 12.49 lakh for a base model and going up to Rs 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for a top-end diesel variant. The Pure Variant might be priced at nearly Rs 15 lakh.

Post-launch, the Tata Sierra would be competing in a highly competitive segment. It would be competing mainly with the likes of – Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, and Hyundai Creta – along with Mahindra XUV 700 and Scorpio N, the choice of which depends on the variants and ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌pricing.

Tata is also positioning the Sierra slightly above the Harrier, focusing on a mix of lifestyle and practicality. With its return, Tata seems ready to bring back the charm of the original Sierra, but in a complete new modern way.
