Volkswagen Tiguan 2025: Price, Design, and Performance Explained

Blending the sounds of two words and a combined meaning, “Tiger” and “Iguana,” makes the car name Tiguan so unique. 350,000 readers voted on choosing this name from the German auto magazines organized by the Volkswagen Marketing team.

Regionally, Skoda assembles the model at the Aurangabad plant specifically for the Indian Market. Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, Aurangabad plant, locally assembles the model for the Indian market. On 14th April 2025, Tiguan R-Line was launched in India. Ex-showroom price is Rs49lakhs.

Tata Tiguan: Price and Sales

The premium SUV’s introductory price (ex-showroom Pan-India) is Rs 49 Lakh. Back then, deliveries began by April 23. Sales were a bit slow may be due to its high price range in its segment, as it faces competition from its rivals, such as diesel SUVs and seven-seater SUVs, such as Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, and Citroen C5 Aircross. The R-line trim is a fully loaded variant.

Tata Tiguan: The German SUV and its prospects

The R-line version is expected to see positive growth in the Indian Market. Driven by a sporty design, feature upgrades, and competitive price points. With great power and efficiency makes it a great deal of attraction for buyers.

The Tiguan Line has greater prospects due to its astounding attributes and price points, which definitely gave a boost to its sales volume. It’s positioned and does give competition to entry-level luxury SUVs.
